So, at Walmart we're not allowed to take tips from customers as they say its a breech of ethics. Well, today I was offered one after helping a guy carry a particularly heavy piece of furniture to his car. I told the guy I'm not allowed to take tips due to the rules and he was like "Whoops." and dropped his money on the ground. Then he said "Looks like I dropped it. I'm such a careless customer." and then went to get in his car. I picked it up.
The proper etticite would have been to take it to the service desk and donate it to one of the random little charities that Walmart gives people the option of donating to. Instead, as I was called off to do another random odd job, falling further behind on my cart duties, I pocketed the money. I might actually feel bad about it if it weren't for the fact that every time there is a carryout to do I fall behind on carts and then have to catch up.
